I’ve been playing video games since I was old enough to hold a controller. One look at Super Mario Brothers and I was hooked and never looked back.

A while back I figured my journalism degree and favorite hobby were not mutually exclusive, and decided to give it a go in the world of video game writing.

When I pitched the idea to the Omaha City Weekly, they immediately saw the opportunity to expand their entertainment coverage past music, movies and theatre to include video games.

But a couple pages a month is hardly enough to contain all the innovative and controversial things happening in the fast-moving world of video games. So I started this blog as an avenue to expand my coverage, and hopefully entice more print publications to take a more serious look at electronic entertainment in their coverage.
